Chore Wars News

30th December 2014

  • Sadly an imminent change in EU tax laws on the 1st of January 2015 is going to make it impractical for a small website like Chore Wars to continue offering paid accounts to users based in the European Union, outside of the United Kingdom. If you're one of these people and want a gold account, you'll still be able to buy one today or tomorrow, but not for the foreseeable future after that.

13th February 2011

  • A few players have reported problems with the XP total, of it drifting away from its true value, or being reset to zero. If you're concerned that your XP isn't all that it should be, visit the Hall of Memories and it'll be recalculated from your chore history.

30th September 2009

  • We've set up a community support forum with GetSatisfaction, to make it easier to ask questions about Chore Wars, report problems, and to share ideas with us and with other adventurers - drop in and let us know what you think.

17th August 2009

  • Gold Account members can now upload custom avatar images; this has been the most-requested feature for a while. You can upload them through the "Settings" page.

10th February 2009

  • Party members can now leave comments on each other's chores, if they want to applaud a particular brave piece of adventuring, or ask a question about it.
  • If you want to run two accounts in Chore Wars, we've opened up the chorecraft.com URL that we had lying around, so that you can stay logged in to one account on each domain. There's more information on the help page.

1st October 2008

  • You can now access some number-crunching details of your party's chore history - each chore page (click a chore name on your adventure list) now has a breakdown of how often that chore is performed, and how much total effort each party member has put into it.

2nd September 2008

  • All parties now have a Hall of Fame for the top three fastest-levelling adventurers in their party, for each month. (You can share it with other people by linking to your party page; adventurers with hidden-from-public privacy settings will appear as anonymous monsters.)
